ABOUT CNC KRAFTING

JOSEPH CASSANJA

CNCKrafting is about ordinary crafts making in today’s technology oriented world. Technology has touched all of us in one way or another. It seems like we’re living in a fast moving world. This affect the weary we do or make things. The fast and better you make your products, the best you are positioned to compete in your field.

For us at CNCKrafts, maintaining the beauty of crafts making is a tradition. To keep pace with our customer’s technology driven world, we have no choice but join the band wagon and apply the technology to make better crafts and fast enough to satisfy our customers. The days of chesels and mallets in crafts making are being overtaken by technology.

For those who have worked with computer controlled machines, you know how price they can be in designing and making process. This is equally the same when you make crafts using computerized machines. You can literally multitask. While one piece of craft is being worked on on one machine, you could be designing or be working on another project. Even before embarking on production, I can send a computerized image of the product as it would look like when it is finished. For mass production, or for future reference. The GCODE file is preserved on computer hard drive.

The technology driven world, has made most of us impatient. Everything is ‘I have paid for it, give it to me now” As it is known manually made crafts takes more time, applying computer technology make sense. A boy with little league in my home town came to my studio one morning requesting I make a base ball bat for him. He asks if I could engrave his name and logo of his team on it. I did it to a silk smooth shining and added a cold water bottle with his image printed on it all within an hour. I did this for free but you cannot imagine how many customers I have got from that one experience.

Most people do not throw away things that are personalized. It is special to them.Take for instance one of our favorite products….deep etching wine bottles…..even after they drink the content of the bottle, most people keeps the bottle because the message etched on it is dear to them.Since the photograph printing was invented, printing on paper has been the norm. But computer technology has opened up new products to print photographs on. These new products to print photographs on are readily available to any craftsman to the fraction of a dollar. The quality of photography on these new printing mediums or substrate as they are called is of far higher value in comparison with paper.

We at CNCKrafting, we do not just do etching, we do DEEP ETCHING. When do Engraving of Logo or any graphics we do DEEP ENGRAVING. If you want we can do LED Lighting on it. How more personal can it be? Think of a half tone engraving of yourself or your company Logo on a ½ inch thick piece of glass measuring 2 feet tall and 18 lunches wide, with LED lighting on the edges. We try our best to minimize the time we take to make our crafts so as to cut the cost.

The end result of our products depends on you, the customer. The high quality of the image or the graphic you give, the the end results ill be. In some cases we do offer our suggestion on improving the quality of an image or the graphic. We do retain the prerogative to refuse to work on an image or graphic that WE MAY DEEM UN APPROPRIATE.

Emphasis should be placed on what we offer and what we do not. WE DO NOT SELL WINE BOTTLES. We offer THE SERVICE OF DEEP ETCHING. The customer bears the cost of sending the bottle to us and sending back to them. To cut the cost, we can introduce you to local wineries or wine stores where you can buy your wine from and we will pick the bottle from there at no cost to you. We call you to let you know that we got your bottle, you process the etching service cost plus the shipping and it is done.

We are known for trying to cut cost. Most of our competitors, will copy what we do and off you a stand to prop up the product they make for you. Fine, nothing wrong with that. But some of those easels are not necessary. We will save you that cost by making the substrates we print on to stand on their own. Another area we beat our competitors, they will print two of your images on two different substrates and charge you for that. We have the know how to print on both sides of a substrate to cut the cost. Please use one of our wooden pens for a year, send it to us and we will polish it free for you.
